I have moved to wordpress. Sorry blogger, but I like it better. But I'm not getting rid of blogger just yet, it has been my companion for so long, it deserves some respect.

As promised...

I don't know what I did wrong, but the flapjack ended up in pieces :-S It fell apart as soon as I took it out of the dish. It tastes nice but looks like fried oats :-)

And the new batch of bread worked out well, Alhamdulillah. I just don't understand how come I only manage to make 6 pieces of bread? They are not that huge either.

I made 2 with olive oil, cheese and oregano topping, two with zatar toping and two with nothing on. The cheese ones are the best :-)

Home management journal

Dear Kate, do you know, that your bread has made it into my home management journal?

What is this journal, you ask? Well, you all probably have it already. Until now, every time I urgently needed to find my favourite recipe or some leaflet or any kind of information, it is nowhere to be seen and found. I have piles of papers, cut outs, notes and leaflets lying around the house. So I decided to become organised and made a home journal. I admit, it was not my idea, I simply stole it from Rhonda Jean.
It's just great. He whole blog is great, she shares so much info and she lives the way I would love to live (as far as the home management and Eco-living is concerned). So I pop to her blog from time to time, I read and learn.

So anyway, I bought this lovely pink folder and started. What's in it? Just that bread recipe so far, but it's a start, right?

Btw, Kate, I'm testing your flapjack recipe just as I write and if it works, it will end up there as well. You are my cooking and baking inspiration. You and Rainbow in the sky.

Pictures of the flapjack are in the camera, another batch of bread is on the counter (the one that I left overnight was not right, I'll make a bread pudding of it tomorrow, inshaAllah).

Today

Ok, so my new project is not ready yet. Last few days I have been very, very busy. We are looking at houses at the moment but I don't really want to talk about that here. Anyway, that's just to let you know that when I say I'm busy, I'm really busy. I deserve the "Best secretary of the year" award, I think. I'm that good. :-)

Anyway, what else I've been up to?

I baked a bread. And here is a proof:



You can see it's kind of golden. Burnt? No, just golden. But next time I won't leave it bake for this long :-) It's a really, really nice bread. I'm actually making another batch just now. That's how nice it is. Thank you, Kate!

Changes, what changes?

It's time to admit that I'm not good in writing. I suffer from very low self-confidence as far as expressing myself in writing (and especially in English) is concerned. Whatever I write, I check and re-check, run it through the spell checker and yet I always miss something here and there. Sometimes I write a different word alltogether. I'm a lost cause, I tell you.

So I have another project going on in my head. You know that I like photography. Problem is, I don't know much about it. I just point and shoot like 1000 pictures and then choose the best one. Usually there isn't much to choose from anyway :-) So anyway, I'm thinking of expressing myself through the pictures instead of the words. Because a picture is better then thousand words, isn't it?

Nothing is up and running yet, I'm working on it though. I'll let you know when I go public :-) Don't expect too much, though. You know me better than that already :-)

Same old song

Ok, I've been saying that over and over again, sorry, sorry, sorry. If anyone still reads this blog, this is a good time to say: Thank you for your patience. I think things are going to change now. I've been playing around with new backgrounds, I'll be working on new header now. So I might not be visible here but I'm behind the scenes. Thinking, working on changing few things here and there. Not just on this blog but in my life in general. Does it look like new year resolution? It's not. The only reason I new that the New Years Day passed was because Tesco was closed :-p
